As a Tennessee elopement photographer, I believe simple isn’t less meaningful. This summer elopement in the Smokies is the proof. Today I am sharing another Cataract Falls elopement. This time we have summer elopement inspo for my brides planning an elopement in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Eloping in Gatlinburg Tennessee
One of the best parts of eloping in Gatlinburg, Tennessee is the amount of Airbnb cabin rentals to choose from. Renting an Airbnb for your elopement not only provides a spacious place for the family to stay together, but it also makes for special getting ready photos.
Emily had stunning effortless details for a summer elopement in the Smokies. I was obsessed (still am) with her earrings! Getting ready and the details of any wedding day are some of my favorite moments to capture. The emotions are high as you slip on your dress. All the details you’ve spent the last several months planning are coming together. Finally, you’re just hours away from turning Miss to Mrs.
Gatlinburg Elopement Photographer
Mike and Emily chose my 4 hour elopement photography package. This is a great package for couples wanting getting ready coverage and time to visit multiple locations around the Smoky Mountain National Park. Places to Elope in Gatlinburg, Tennessee
After we spent some time at their Airbnb, we drove about 15 minutes to Cataract Falls. Cataract Falls is a small waterfall in the middle of a walking trail behind the Sugarlands Visitor Center. The trail leading to the falls is easy and flat with multiple stopping points for photos. Perfect for families and couples of all ages. In total the trip is 0.7 of a mile.
While open to the public, the trail is not very crowded. Google says it’s busiest weekends are from March-November. As a local Gatlinburg elopement photographer, I have never experienced an issue with tourists. Everyone is so kind and accommodating. We all work together making sure everyone is able enjoy their time within the National Park.
The night before, a storm came through and knocked down a bunch of trees creating this abstract arbor. We joked and said, “It’s giving VOGUE.” But I wasn’t kidding…
A peaceful waterfall backdrop. Perfect for family portraits, bridal portraits, and elopement ceremonies.
